'Maya and new Loki Chihuahua Puppy have been together for only 2 weeks. I am thankful that things have been going smoothly for the most part but it hasn\'t been without bumps in the road. I should have seen the signs of jealousy that Maya was giving off. There were 2 jealous clues, she gave side-eye twice and I missed it. I needed to make dinner and the puppy and Maya would NOT settle for me to step away to cook. I decided to give them each a stuffed bone which Maya really likes. It was Loki\'s first experience with bacon and cheese stuffing and he was really excited to try it. I never give out high value treats without asking for Maya to \'work\' for it so we had a mini training session before I gave it to her. I recorded it because she was in a quirky mood and her bloopers were funny. Soon after giving a bone to both her and Loki and stepping away, it happened. Maya did something that sent Loki screaming down the hallway and left Maya standing over the bones. Maya was pretty happy with herself standing over both bones, shame on her.... The bones were quickly removed and they won\'t be given again unattended but Loki was very scared of Maya and didn\'t want to be close to her or have her look at him. I needed a fix to get them happy in the same room so I made them do commands and tricks in the same space next to each other. This seemed to work for us and soon the problems were quickly forgotten. I\'ll be on the look out for that side-eye jealousy should it happen again!
